Baker Wotring LLP on legal team suing insulin manufacturers on behalf of Harris County

Harris County filed a lawsuit against the three largest manufacturers of insulin and the largest pharmaceutical benefit managers for engaging in a price-fixing conspiracy to drive up the prices of insulin. Harris County sued insulin manufacturers Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, and Sanofi, and pharmaceutical benefit managers Express Scripts, CVS Caremark, OptumRx, and Aetna Rx, in addition to companies that buy insulin in bulk and resale it to the public. At his press conference announcing the suit, Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan stated “I’m proud to be at the forefront of protecting Harris County from paying far too much for insulin, a life-saving drug, and for seeking justice against drug manufacturers and the pharmacy benefit management companies that seek excessive profits in violation of Texas law.” Harris County is represented by Baker Wotring LLP, The Law Office of Richard Schecter, The Cicala Law Firm and the Hollins Law Group.
