Baker · Wotring LLP part of team finalizing settlement for Harris County in environmental lawsuit against Volkswagen.

Harris County and Texas government entities finalized the settlement in the In Re Volkswagen Clean Diesel Litigation: TCAA Enforcement Case in January 2024.  Baker Wotring LLP was part of Harris County’s litigation team and sat on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the litigation, in which Harris County was the first government entity in Texas to sue Volkswagen in connection with their emissions-cheat device scandal, achieving an $85 million settlement.  Harris County was the first governmental entity in Texas to sue Volkswagen.
