Baker • Wotring Wins Appeal For Harris County

Baker • Wotring LLP has won an appeal on behalf of Harris County, Texas in an environmental  lawsuit. The case was brought against a dry cleaner and property owner asserting that hazardous dry-cleaning chemicals had been improperly disposed of, contaminating the land. The Fourteenth Court  of Appeals reversed the trial court’s ruling that Harris County could not bring the lawsuit. The Court of Appeals held that Harris County was authorized to bring suit to require the defendants to clean up the environmental contamination.
