The Japanese American Society Houston’s JASH BASH celebrated Houston’s renewed commitment to strategic cultivation of the economic pillar of the U.S.-Japan Alliance. JASH Board of Director Debra Tsuchiyama Baker presented Mayor Sylvester Turner with the Houston-Japan Friendship Award in recognition of the City of Houston’s creation of an environment supportive of U.S.-Japan business collaboration and the important investments being made in our City by Japanese corporations. Mayor Turner was key to highlighting the strengthening the strengthening of Houston’s ties with key Japanese allies through the Japan Investment and Trade Mission and the 50th anniversary of the Houston-Chiba Sister City relationship.
